Aspen Park Playground
To make the Aspen Park Playground as safe as possible, the city hired Basalt-based landscape architecture firm Connect One Design, which donated 700 hours of landscape architecture services. Connect One took great care to make the playground safe for children and incorporate elements that make Aspen unique. Many playground designers tend to pick structures from the nearest catalog, and choose to ignore the unique features that make Aspen so unique. Nevertheless, Thornely took the time to create the playground in such a way that it would be as if it were part of Aspen itself. This is particularly noteworthy because mining shacks and history of the earth walkways are not typical elements of playground catalogs. A great place to also visit is!
Aspen Park Playground
Aspen Park Playground is a local park in Adams County, Colorado, which features swings, slides, and places to climb. The basic playground includes a single basketball hoop, benches, and a covered area with a charcoal grill. There are some specialized amenities available, too, including a sandbox for throwing balls and a sand box for building castles. The community has been able to use this playground since it opened in 2005.
Wagner Park
Wagner Park in Aspen is a beautiful, large green space with a play area for children. The park is also home to the annual Food and Wine Classic, which moves from the spring to the fall. It is the largest park in the city and is one of the most popular. It is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and offers free admission. The park also features a multi-use athletic field.

Herron Park
The City of Aspen is celebrating the opening of its new Herron Park Playground on Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2021. The event is open to the public, and will feature refreshments and kids’ activities like face painting. The Herron Park at Aspen Park Playground is located at the base of the ski resort and offers an expansive wood playground structure and lazy river.
